The living room of the main house of the summer retreat of Roman architect Michele Busiri Vici and his family. Located on Monte Circeo, the promontory between Rome and Naples, the retreat consists of six houses creating a mini village by the sea, "Il Villaggio Marinaro." Here, the living room features plain white walls and beige floor tiles, which were handmade in Vietri sul Mare. The room is furnished with a white sofa which is covered in brown and beige cushions made from handkerchief squares, an antique wooden chair, a long coffee table, and a smaller coffee table created from the trunk of an oak tree. The small, shell-shaped windows admit light but no sun.
