NBC News executive/producer Reuven Frank describes NBC’s coverage of election night 1960, which stretched well into the following day – and the Today Show.

“We went into a half hour of ‘Today’ at seven-thirty…At nine o'clock or after nine o'clock we got it back, the election night crew. And I sent Huntley and Brinkley to bed so they could do ‘The Huntley-Brinkley Report’ that evening.”
