Reverend Jesse Jackson, president of Operation PUSH, announces the first PUSH Expo at a press conference at Johnson Publishing Company, 820 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago. The expo was a five-day long event featuring Black and minority business and cultural displays. It is estimated that 500 businesses were represented from the Chicago area and forty other cities.
