Revision of equipment in the PS ring

From January 2 to February 13 the usual performances at the PS and ISR are interrupted and the annual long shut-down is in progress. More than 500 different jobs will be done on the PS, Linac and Booster alone. The photograph taken in the PS ring shows one of the jobs which becomes more common as the intensity of the PS beam goes up and the radiation damage suffered by machine components more severe.
