Revival of Iga ware

The Iga ware production died out with the end of Momoyama Period (late 16th beginning of the 17th century). However, with the help of the Tōdō clan in the mid 18th century, everyday objects such as bowls, dishes, and pots began to be reproduced in Marubashira. Workshops such as Yasuke, Kyubē and Jyōhachi actively produced pots, which became the foundation of the Iga ware today.
