This revolver is interesting not only from the military but also from an artistic point of view. It is a part of the "Museum-Arsenal's" collection of pinfire revolvers of Eugene Lefaucheux's system. It was made in Paris in the second half of the 50s of the 19th century. The French army adopted the 1853 model of this revolver. The handle is made of mahogany. The revolver's cylinder holds six pinfire cartridges. All metal parts of the gun, except for the front sight and ramrod, are bronze. The weapon is decorated with etched floral ornaments.
