The second painting zooms out and you can see a bit more of the monument - the platform, the columns, the stairs. Three hieroglyphs come into view on the plinth beneath the deity's feet. It is obvious that this is coded information, and following the made up M. K. Čiurlionis alphabet, the inscription has been deciphered: it means “Rex” – like the name of the painting. At the bottom of the staircase, a relatively tiny human figure is seen raising its hands - he stepped off his little white boat to praise the statue.
