A green silk ribbon belonging to a resident of the village of Morawica (near Kraków). Used in the 1920s. Decorated with a garland of alternating flowers. Plaited edges, V-cut at the ends.

Ribbons with characteristic floral patterns, popularly known as “Kraków ribbons”, were used by girls and young married women to decorate their clothes. One or more ribbons tied in a bow were attached at the back to the beads, with the ends sometimes reaching all the way to the waist. Ribbons were also used to decorate the wedding wreaths worn by the bride and bridesmaids.
