Every number of village has the right to help in the harvest of any piece of land. The rice is harvested with a finger knife or ani-ani, the penicles being cut one by one. For their work the hasvesters receive a share-of the rice they harvest, usually between oneseventh (pituan) and onetenth (nasen), depending to their relationship to the land owner. A Harvest offering dedicated to Dewi Sri which placed in the field during harvest time and later in granary. Dewi Sri is the rice Goddess.
