Richard ‘Dick’ Hall (1872 - 1933) baritone and later conductor of Charters Towers’ famous choir, 'The Leidertafel' renamed after the war as The Curlews. He was a leading figure responsible for the establishment of the North Queensland Eisteddfod and regarded as one of the north’s most outstanding musical figures.
