Photographs of Joseph Albert with scenes from works by Richard Wagner. The engravings were commissioned to Pixis by Ludwig II of Bavaria. It is not certain that they were taken from actual mise en scene while it is likely that they are free re-enactments. The Wagner-Galerie was put on the market at the first Bayreuth festival in 1876.
