These Torah finials are a typical work of the Art Nouveau style. The bell ornament is no longer complete. The partially gilded silver object was made around 1900, a master's mark cannot be made out, the hallmark is a Viennese official hallmark for 800 silver. It is very likely that this Torah adornment was in use in the Turkish Temple, since in the Sephardic tradition the Torah mantles are often cylindrical in design so that the pair of rimonim can be placed on this body. In the Ashkenazic tradition, the Torah mantles are flat so that the two rimonim can be placed individually on the wooden sticks on which the parchment scrolls are wound.
