Ring

Intaglios are stones cut, like the stone for a signet ring, with the design carved into the stone. This ring, mounted with an intaglio cut with a representation of Victory, shows the taste for intaglios cut with classical subjects continuing into the nineteenth century. Victory appears as a winged figure driving a chariot.
