Rip Curl First Advertisement

The Torquay based surf company Rip Curl became one of the big five global surfing brands. But it had humble beginings in an old bakery in Torquay this is their first advertisement (that appeared in Surfing World magazine). The image was taken by Barrie Sutherland at Bells beach, after loaning the colour slide to Rip Curl for the ad Barrie never saw it again.
