The Tinkler Tail Surfboard was developed to allow adjustability to fixed surfboard designs. Springs mounted in a cavity at the tail of the surfboard provied the opportunity to adjust the curve in the bottom of the board to suit conditions or even the capability to induce assymetric curve for the more adventurous. Very difficult to manufacture and perhaps too technical for normal use Tinklertail's rapidly fell from favour.
