About Creator: José Heitor (Além Paraíba, MG, 1937) began sculpting out of fear, during a storm when he was alone at home. When he opened the door, clay entered, which, in a nervous gesture, he kept kneading, until he realized that he could model figures in those little balls. The storm passed, but not the pleasure of the clay. Later, already working in wood, he met someone in a roadside restaurant who recognized the value of his work and introduced him to the world of art.
