Portrait of Angelo Piazza

Angelo Piazza (1862-1934), son of a fabric merchant with shop in Via Molino delle Armi, continues his paternal activity. For many years he was councilor of the Municipality of Milan, president of the Banca degli Esercenti and councilor of the Chamber of Commerce. In the will, drawn up ten years before his death, he devotes most of his substances to the needy. The legacy in favor of the Ospedale Maggiore in Milan also includes his private portraits, which he kept in his Milanese home in Via Burigozzo. The commission of the commemorative hospital portrait is entrusted to Giovanni Malesci.
