Annetta Albini, widow of Roberto Perego (1862-1932), a capable businessman and founder of the Vetreria Milanese Society, in 1934 allocated the sum of 100,000 lire to the Ospedale Maggiore in memory of her husband, also sending her own portrait "of family ", a work carried out between 1890 and 1895 by Ernesto Fontana, with a freer layout, although included in the context of the portraits set, compared to those who followed the canons of the hospital clientele. He asks that the commemorative portrait of her husband be entrusted to Vincenzo Castelli, but the Artistic Commission opts for Riccardo Galli.
