Fermo Secco Comneno (1764-1841), Marquis of Brescian origins, belonging to a family that had already benefitted the Maggiore Hospital; Antonio Secco Comneno Suardi, nominated the Maggiore Hospital as heir, with the clause of creating a structure for whom, after receiving hospital treatment, requires a period of convalescence. The commission of the portrait is entrusted to Giuseppe Sogni, who collaborates several times with the Quadreria.
