Ritual bell

Inscribed bell used in rituals, found in 1894 on the site of the present-day Plaça Corsini, near the area of the Forum of the “Colonia” Tarraco.

“This bell, a youthful messenger of our land, announces a better time for the Roman Senate and people. If the Augusts and the Roman people are well, Tarraco is happy”.
