Ritual Remembered

Achuthan Kudallur is an abstract painter from Kerala. He started his career as a figurative painter, book illustrator, and writer in Chennai. When he moved towards abstraction in the 1970s, he experimented with colours, red in particular. His energetic works are usually composed of free-flowing, geometric forms, often dominated by a single colour.
