Rocks in the Sea

The small painting belongs to the genre of the seascapes which won him Lojacono’s great appreciation. The painting features two, big limestone rocks of a cliff, depicted from a distance and in great detail. It is characterised by a brisk and contrasted pictorial technique, sometimes lumpy and rich, others rough and rarefied, typical of the painter’s late production.
