The twin towers of the church of Trinità dei Monti are seen in the background. A version, said to have traces of a signature, was sold at Hôtel Drouot, Paris, 28 November 1980, lot 227 (see also G. Briganti et al., 'The Bamboccianti', Rome, 1983, p.268).
