Title page from the second 'good' quarto of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet printed in 1599. Printed by Thomas Creede for Cuthbert Burby, it contains 50 percent more text than the first ‘bad’ quarto printed in 1597. This copy was was donated to Edinburgh University Library by the poet and former student, William Drummond (1585-1649) of Hawthornden, who wrote Shakespeare’s name on the title page.
