Rope found in Edman Spangler’s room during investigations following President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination on April 14, 1865. Spangler, a stagehand at Ford's Theatre, was arrested as an accomplice to the assassin, John Wilkes Booth, and sentenced to six years in prison.
