The rosary consists of 59 grinded amber beads and an amber cross. Lithuania’s amber masters have since ancient times worshipped God through their works, creating standing crosses and sculptures, and have for a very long time prized amber rosaries. It used to be believed that an amber rosary would protect one from evil spirits and impure thoughts. In Catholic churces, amber dust is added to incense.
