See unpublished paper and published magazine in Collection Documentation file: "An American Art Doll for High and Other Fashions" by Elizabeth Ann Coleman (later published in American Doll Collector 2016). Doll series was made by team affiliated with The Brooklyn Museum of Art, and were meant to display and promote contemporary fashion and textile design. Lanvin then became aware of the dolls and asked to dress examples.
