This metal Gulabdan (rose water flask) is one of the earliest personal care vessels of the Zaza brand, dating to the 1920s.
Designed for storing rose water or scented liquids, its lidded form reflects the hygiene and grooming culture that transitioned from the Ottoman period into the early Republic.
The matte metal surface and hand-shaped body highlight the craftsmanship of the era.
Gulabdans like this were commonly used in barbershops as well as in domestic grooming routines.
The object belong to the ZAZA Group brand collection and are preserved and exhibited at the Turing Museum of Century-Old Brands.
