"Rosie the Riveter" summer jumpsuit in lightweight blue synthetic broadcloth; straight with fitted waist; full-length; high neck, square rolled collar; square shoulder, short sleeves; double-tucked at waist; natural waistline; straight trouser leg with topstitched pant crease; elasticized back waist with tuck-in drop seat, belt loops; applied red and green cotton braid at side pant seams; center front zipper closure, side zipper closures. One of the designs commissioned in 1942 by the Sperry Gyroscope Company as a woman war worker's uniform, designed as comfortable and practical clothing for working on first radar to specifications defined by the workers themselves.
