Electronic watch powered by battery and regulated by quartz crystal. Digital LED display.
Hughes Aircraft Company was located near the Los Angeles area. In the mid seventies of the 20th century it was one of the main producers of modules for the then popular LED watches. Modules included LED display, integrated circuit, quartz crystal, place for the battery - everything except case and strap. The company sold these modules to companies that inserted them into their cases and has never sold watches under its own name. At the end of the decade its production discontinued due to the inability to compete with cheap Far Eastern modules.
