The Club Café remained a beloved Route 66 food spot for over fifty years. Famed for its ubiquitous branding, the “Fat Man” logo and sourdough biscuits were promoted on billboards along the route until the restaurant’s closure in 1991.

"Get your kicks on Route 66 at the Club Cafe in Santa Rose, serving excellent food since 1935. USA Week-end said, ""The Club Cafe in Santa Rosa, New Mexico has some of the best food on Route 66!"" Wow! Fresh meat, chicken fried steaks served with sour dough biscuts - um umm. Fire-eatin', bear clawin' chili by master Chili Maker, Chef Chavez, who created Salsa Roja that was featured in New Mexico Magazine. Excellent food since 1935! Come get your kicks on the the real thing - at the Club Cafe - downtown, Santa Rosa - on old Route 66.
