Royal Society Fellowship election certificate for Alexander Fleming

Fleming was elected on 18th March 1943 for his 'valuable contributios to Bacteriology, Immunology, and the theory of action of chemotheraoeutic agents, including two major discoveries, Lysozyme (1922) an important factor in local defence and Penicillin (1929) a derivative of Peniciliium cultures possessing remarkble bacteriostatic properties'.
