This royal vehicle that Emperor Sunjong (r. 1907-1910) used is a Cadillac Limousine manufactured by an American automobile company General Motors. It is equipped with seven seats, a 31.25 horsepower-engine, and 5,153 cc of engine displacement, and assumed to be a 1918 model. The body of the car is adorned with gold-color plum blossom motives, which was the royal court of arms. The interior is decorated with gold silk with embroidered plum blossoms. This automobile also has practicability as the chair behind the driver’s seat can be folded to maximize use of space. The body is made of wood, not steel, and the exterior is lacquered. Overall contour of the car resembles a coach, showing the characteristics of an early model of car.
