Tapestry woven in wool and silk on wool warp made in Tournai (France) during the 16th century representing a wedding scene structured in different registers. It may evoke the wedding of Maria, heir to the Burgundy duchy, to Maximilian of Austria. The representation of courtly love, from medieval tradition, is present here, as well as the luxury goods, mainly textiles and garments, with which the Flanders tradesmen flooded the West.
