Royce Hart joined the Richmond Football Club in 1966 and played at centre half-forward, a position often described as the most difficult and most important on the field.
Hart was known for his ability to mark the ball against taller, stronger players, and to kick goals under pressure. He wore this jumper, with number 4 on the back, in 1967.
Hart’s career at Richmond, from 1966 to 1977, coincided with the club’s most successful era. Richmond, and Hart, played in five grand finals, winning four.
