Description: Rue Tholozé is a cramped and crowded view of the street in Paris’ bohemian Montmartre neighborhood, where Pierre Bonnard lived and worked. Between 1895 and 1900, he repeatedly observed this particular vista, remaining intrigued by the contrast between the height and structure of the buildings and the movement of the diminutive Parisians bustling around below.
