Boxer Rebellion: An image depicting the ruins of the French Concession during the Boxer Rebellion. During the Battle of Tianjin (June–July 1900), the Boxers moved through the French quarter and attacked the railway station. Russian forces defended the station but suffered around 100 casualties.
