The drawing room set consists of a total of 19 pieces, and on show are a Rundsofa, as it is called, a sofa, armchair, chaise longue, chair, console mirror and pedestal with vase. Some of the seating elements are covered with pink and some with floral patterned ivory coloured silk brocade. The set was made in what is called the third Rococo, characteristic of the ca 1880 period. The rounded forms with cabriole legs are decorated with bronzed details, and in some of the items the body is specifically asymmetrically conceived. Typically for Historicism, there are many new formal versions of sofa and armchair. One such new type is the Rundsofa from this set, with a central plan disposition, with four seats spread petal-wise around a central cylindrical upholstered vertical serving as a back.
