Hisun Wong is a photographer born in Singapore, grown up in Hong Kong. He graduated from Minnesota State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and later obtained his Master of Science Degree in Architectural Conservation from the University of Hong Kong in 2004. He was the lecturer of Photographic Creation Programme at the Hong Kong Arts Centre from 1992 to 1994. Wong has always been interested in the life style of farmers, especially in China. Farmers follow their ancient rituals for centuries, they are now adopting a more scientific way of farming with added use of agricultural chemicals. His Rural China series depicts the primitive rural life in China, especially for those in remote regions.
