In the midst of the bustle of a wedding ceremony in a small temple, Satyan manages to capture the important moment when Abhishekham (a religious ritual of cleansing) is performed. The photograph is prominently showing three figures – on the left, the bride dressed in a saree and wearing a garland; on the right, the groom wearing a turban, shirt and lungi and in the centre a woman, who also wears a saree, oversees the ceremony. A pair of curious eyes looks directly at the camera from behind the crowd, instead of looking at the ritual.
