Jorge Bacelar was born June 12, 1966, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo.
He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD).
The passion for image emerged in August 2011, with the purchase of a camcorder.
It creates the youtube channel "bacelarvet ", which has over 200 videos posted with nearly 500,000 views.
Create in October 2011 a public Facebook page named "Murtosa Tube", which publishes and makes known his videos.
With the camcorder begins to take its first pictures and publish them in his page "Murtosa Tube" on Facebook.
In October 2012 purchased the photography camera and starts passion for photography. He’s dedicated to photographing the rural and “marinhoas” people.
The April 25, 2013 participates in a group exhibition of photography, in Torreira, Murtosa county's entitled " As Gentes e as Paisagens da Terra Marinhoa ".
The May 3, 2013 begins to publish their photos in the Art Gallery Fineart-Portugal, where currently have more than 200 works approved and exposed.
The August 21, 2013 is inaugurated the exhibition "Identidade," at the Art Gallery of Veiros parish, a permanent photographic exhibition with its work on the people of Veiros, Estarreja municipality.
In 2014 he won the photo contest of the campaign "Together Against Hunger" a joint initiative of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) and the United Nations Agency for Food and Agriculture (FAO), officially launched in February 2014, in Maputo, Mozambique.
From January 24 to February 2, 2015 participated in the collective exhibition of photography in Braga in the building GNRation - Project "EXPOINT ... expõe-te tu!".
From April 24 to May 30, 2015 participates in the collective exhibition of photography in Ílhavo in the center of exposure Ilhavo - Project "EXPOINT ... expõe-te tu!".
In July 2015 he was awarded the prize "Nomination award HPA 2015," the HPA2015 contest - THE 9TH HUMANITY PHOTO AWARDS organized by UNESCO & CFPA, Beijing China.
In August 2015 it was one of the winners of the photo contest "40 years, 40 photographs, 40 photographers", an initiative organized by the Ombudsman of Portugal, as part of the celebrations of 40 years of the Ombudsman.
