Rusalka, 1915, Pavla Vachková (in the title role)

historical photography - Pavla Vachková (1891-1978) sang as a Rusalka at the premiere of the third staging of this opera. She worked as a singer and actor in the NT only for five years and after her marriage with Czechoslovakian diplomat Š. Osuský she left her artistic activity. But she continued working for the Czech opera, she succeeded in developing Czechoslovak-French musical relations, among others also for first performance of Smetana's Bartered Bride in Paris (Opéra Comique, 1928).
