This Sanskrit and Prakrit manuscript, written in the year 480 of Nepāla Saṃvat (1360 CE), contains a drama on the Rāma story called the Rāmāṅkanāṭikā by the Buddhist author Dharmagupta, also known as Bālavagīśvara, a magistrate of Nepal. The manuscript is written on palm leaf with a hole through the middle of each leaf so that the leaves could be strung together. Wooden boards are placed at the beginning and end to protect the leaves.
