S. Teddy

Kow's large portrait painting was originally featured in a group exhibition held in Manila in 2009, which also featured Indonesian artist Stevanus Teddy Darmawan, better known as S. Teddy D (1970-2016). In 2008, during an artist residency in Yogyakarta, Kow decided to pay homage to this place that artists from all over Indonesia call home. Kow's other portraits of important Jogja artists include Agus Suwage, Jumaldi Alfi and Putu Sutawijaya.
