S. Y. Narada

In 1896 Henry Walters purchased a 224 ft steamyacht from the Philadelphia banking heir, Anthony Joseph Drexel, Jr., which he named, Narada. That year he also became a member of the New York Yacht Club.

Not much is known about the artist Antonio de Simone, but numerous watercolors signed by him exist, often depicting the yachts of wealthy Americans.
