This intricate arrangement of several aliya were built in the bath area of the Juna Mahal in Dungarpur. These series of wall niches were accompanied by khuti (wall hooks), wall mirrors and in-built shelves. The aliya are speculated to have been used for bathing items, such as oil, soap, clothes, and cosmetics.
