Small hemispherical Sacaton Red-on-buff bowl with a mirrored quartered design layout. The surface has numerous anvil depressions, left from shaping during the manufacturing process. There are many paddle facets on the exterior, also from the shaping process, and evidence that the vessel was wiped before firing. This bowl was recovered as part of a salvage project before the construction of a storm drain on the grounds of Pueblo Grande. Pueblo Grande was a large village site located at the headgates of a major canal system occupied as early as AD 500 and reaching its greatest extent during the Classic Period.
