Arias works painting and embroidery, lives in Mexico since 1988. He stops painting from 1994 to 2015 to dedicated himself to embroidery. In 1998 Arias became professor at UDLAP
This piece was part of the exposition "El hilo de la vida. Bordados 1994-2015 Carlos Arias" an individual exposition presented at the Museo Universitario del Chopo and Capilla del Arte UDLAP both in 2015.
The piece shows a single gray striped jacket view from front and back woven in white fabric making an obvious color contrast to highlight the jacket.
