A wonderful scene which is characteristic of Rubens, in style, models, composition and colours. The Virgin is holding the Child Jesus on a white cushion; to the left, an angel offers some grapes to the Child; to the right, half the figure of Saint Joseph can be seen: this scene is repeated frequently in the work by Rubens. Nonetheless, both the material on which it is painted and its slight heaviness lead us to believe that it was carried out in ; his workshop, without ruling out the intervention by the master himself.
