Sacred Heart altar

The altarpiece of the Sacred Heart preserves the remains of the blessed Carlo Andrea Ferrari. The altarpiece, made of Candoglia marble based on a model by Edoardo Rubino, depicts the Sacred Heart between Saints Ambrose and Charles. The statues on the tympanum, from the end of the 16th century, are the work of Andrea Rinaldi, Michele Prestinari, and P. A. Daverio.
